"Wings Night"
Friday 14th November 2003
Seventy members and spouses attended our first 'Wings Night' in our new club house. A very successful night organised by Dave Tempest. Profit from the night provided a new headset for use by club members.
Congratulations to all of the achievers and winners on the night. The photos below cover most of the awards including 'pilot of the year'.
Our very interesting guest speaker was Bill de Boer who enlightened us about his time flying for His Highness Shiekh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi and His Highness Shiekh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai and to some of the more exciting places he had flown to.
Our thanks also go to The Rockhampton Grammar School band and Barry Saunders who provided wonderful entertainment on the night.
