ROCKHAMPTON AERO CLUB
Emu Park Sunday 3 April 2005
Once again a good number of students and members turned up at Emu Park for the secound round of flying. A slight SE breeze kept everyone on their toes with some pilots reporting a downdraft on final to runway 16. The day was won by Travis Whiting with a score of 23 points, even though George outscored him on the day.(He gets more practice). Our President didn't score well after being disqualified, for apparantly being to low on the bombing run. GD disputed the judges decision and it will probably have to go to the stewards as a protest!!!! RZN, Captain Dave and OZY, Captain Nick returned to RK in formation. Captain George in JMO had a great deal of 'fun' flying around the formation much to the delight of his passengers. Below are images taken on the comp day.
